Vera Keijsers

Vera Keijsers (1995) is a conductor, arranger, singer, and teacher with a passion for inspiring and leading musical ensembles. She honed her craft at Fontys Academy of the Arts in Tilburg, where she studied Music Education (2014-2018) and completed a Master of Music Pop & Jazz Conducting (2018-2022). This solid foundation has shaped her into a versatile and driven musical leader.

Met een unieke mix van ervaring, variërend van het leiden van koor tot orkest, beweegt Vera zich moeiteloos tussen stijlen en genres. De afgelopen jaren richt ze zich steeds meer op het dirigeren en arrangeren voor instrumentale groepen. Haar ambitie is om haar expertise in te zetten als muzikaal leider bij orkesten en musicals. Op dit moment is ze bandleider bij Backyard Bigband in Best en dirigent bij koor Erato in Asten-Heusden. Ook is ze werkzaam als docent bij de opleidingen Music Education en de Rockacademie op Fontys Academy of the Arts in Tilburg.

Vera also has a background as a singer and was a member of the Fontys Jazz Choir and Tribute to Toto, known from the third season of The Tribute: Battle of the Bands on SBS6. Since 2019, she has been singing with the a cappella vocal jazz group Blendin' Vocal Collective.
